Installing & Updating Guide

Updating to the latest release is very straight forward. You don't need to update in version order—for example, you can safely go from v0.1.90 straight to v0.2.10 without needing to download any of the versions in between, and your save file will automatically transfer over without losing your progress.

Windows & Linux:
Download the file from the options above or the backup. Right-click the downloaded .zip file and select Extract All. Open the newly unpacked folder and inside should be a .exe file called "HoleHouse" that you can run to open the game.

Mac OSX:
Download the .zip file and double-click to unpack it. If Apple flags the app as unverified on your initial launch, got to your Mac's System Settings > Privacy & Security and click "Allow Anyway".

Android & Chrome OS:
Download and run the .apk file above. Once downloaded you will want to open it and it will either install the app if this is your first time or will ask you to update if you are updating from a previous version. It will then transfer your save and update to the latest version.

How to Resume Your Progress:
Once the updated game loads, click "Load Game" on the main menu and your save should load. If you do click "New Game" instead don't worry your save is fine as long as yu don't click save game in this new save thats been created. if you just close the app and go back in you should be able to click "Load Game" again and it will load your save file.
